USO South Texas

The USO of South Texas serves NAS Corpus Christi and NAS Kingsville.

Corpus Christi boasts it is home to the 2nd oldest USO in the world, chartered by President Franklin D. Roosevelt, April 4, 1941.

USO South Texas marked 75 years of serving our most treasured assets … our U.S. Military and their families.

Our mission is as valid today as it was in 1941; to strengthen America’s military service members by keeping them connected to family, home and country throughout their service to our nation.

There are 19 Chartered Centers in the USA, USO South Texas is the only one in Texas. We receive no funding from USO, Inc or the federal government. We must raise all of our funds locally to continue serving generations of naval aviators to come for primary training. NAS Corpus Christi is the best place in the world for our young men and women to earn their Wings of Gold. Often later in their careers they return to NAS Corpus Christi as instructors, Captains, Colonels and we have had an occasional Admiral … most recently an Assistant Secretary of the Navy. Movie stars and Statesmen, have flown these beautiful skies along with our most famous aviator who earned his Wings of Gold at the age of 18 … he went on to become the 41st President of the United States. The Navy, Marines, Army, Air Force and Coast Guard depend on our USO to provide the best-in-class programs and services to help them lead strong family lives. Many of our service members have seen battle in foreign lands while their families look to the USO for comfort and support.

Our military will give the ultimate for us. USO is committed to their support from the beginning of their careers to the time they must transition out into civilian life. Be a part of us and give generously to USO South Texas, INC a 501©(3) non-profit organization. We need them, they need us, we need you!
